Suicide attackers kill 36 at Pakistan mosque

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan — Militants stormed a mosque near Pakistan's army headquarters, killing at least 36 worshippers, including six military officers, during Friday prayers as they sprayed gunfire and threw grenades before blowing themselves up, officials said.

It was the latest in a wave of strikes by suspected Islamist insurgents that has killed more than 400 people in Pakistan since October.

I recently came across this group(who now goes by the name "Run Devil Run" since their lead singer is no longer with them) that I took an instant liking too and I just wanted to share it here. Here's one of their songs called "Rock and Roll".

Do you think it's fair for McD and the rest of the ENTIRE food industry to put political signs in their restaurants against a motion/party? ("Say no to HST!" "Down with the Liberals!")

Do you think it's okay to use the concept as political blackmail?

Do you think it's ironic that the food corporations are pushing for the furthest left major party, the NDP?

Of you Canadians, are you going to be eating out as much, knowing your bill just increased? Do you think the food industry will follow through on their threat?

Do you think it's a symbol of corruption that the BC government has cried a "maxing out" of their 5%-of-applicable-candidates HST exemption, and the only upset food industry people are the ones who didn't get their exemption in time?

Inspired by the current political crisis in Canada and the blackmailing of the Ontario and now BC government over HST (combined tax), which means that full tax (~12%) is applied to all food, which means reduced tips, less customers, huge layoffs, and higher prices for eating out. BC Government Take and Food Industry Take. HST passed yesterday.

I know you guys hate the "what should I get my ___ for xmas?" questions, but this one is a little different.

For xmas, I decided to put together a sort of "anti-boredom" basket for my bf. I need some clever way to put it together rather than just wrapping them all separate. Should i put them in a basket with something over it, use a gift bag or what? Any other suggestions?

If it helps, here is what's in it:

A personalized Monopoly game (i replaced literally everything but the board with stuff that pertains to us.. ex: the pieces are little transformer characters instead of the thimble, etc), a talking Yoda stuffed animal, play dough, a Nintendo ds with a Lego star wars game, a book, and some little random entertaining stuff.

Francie stared at the oldest man. She played her favorite game, figuring out about people. His thin tangled hair was the same dirty gray as the stubble standing on his sunken cheeks. Dried spittle caked the corners of his mouth. He yawned. He had no teeth. She watched, fascinated and revolted, as he closed his mouth, drew his lips inward until there was no mouth, and made his chin come up to almost meet his nose. She studied his old coat with the padding hanging out of the torn sleeve seam. His legs were sprawled wide in helpless relaxation and one of the buttons was missing from his grease-caked pants openeing. She saw that his shoes were battered and broken open at the toes. One shoe was laced with a much-knotted shoe string, and the other with a bit of dirty twine. She saw two thin dirty toes with creased gray toenails. Her thoughts ran...

"He was a baby once. He must have been sweet and clean and his mother kissed his little pink toes. Maybe when it thundered at night she came to his crib and fixed his blanket better and whispered that he mustn't be afraid, that his mother was there. Then she picked him up and put her cheek on his head and said that he was her own sweet baby...Then he was a young man, strong and happy. When he walked down the street, the girls smiled and turned to watch him. He smiled back and maybe he winked at the prettiest one. I guess he must have married and had children and they thought he was the most wonderful papa in the world the way he worked hard and bought them toys for Christmas. Now his children are getting old too, like him, and they have children and nobody wants the old man anymore and they are waiting for him to die. But he don't want to die. He wants to keep on living even though he's so old and there's nothing to be happy about anymore."

It's not REALLY cheating if your partner never finds out, right?

Also, in this scenario, presume that no STDs have been exchanged, so, really, the partner isn't going to be hurt by any of this.
